Artist, Melanie du Toit weaves a wonderful story into her paintings, allowing one’s imagination to take flight! If one is feeling a little down, just sit and stare at any one of Melanie’s paintings and you’ll soon have a smile on your face!

Melanie paints whimsically in acrylic, painting a red background first before creating her scene. There are often castles, with princesses peering out of windows, fantastical creatures, like fish, monkeys or geese gracing the painting. Always a bird, or birds, with their heart shaped beaks in the branches of trees! And then there are the flowers! Bright and colourful with perhaps a dress on a hanger, hanging from a bough of a tree! A bicycle or two! Look and you’ll see some magic there!
